Director of Religious Education - Portland, ME

Allen Avenue Unitarian Universalist Church is looking for a 25 hours/per week Director of Religious Education starting August 2013. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about creating support and community for parents and families. A primary focus is to offer leadership and guidance to our volunteer group leaders during our Sunday religious education program. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who is self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, displays obvious love for children and youth, and has an understanding of and commitment to UU principles of education and shared ministry. The right person will also be comfortable with electronic communication and database applications.

Administrator: Disability/Ability Action Program
The Unitarian Universalist Association and Equual Access seek an administrator to assist in the launching of a program for congregations working to build a Beloved Community that encompasses people with disabilities. This program encourages congregations both to become more inclusive of people with disabilities in congregational life and to become more effective agents for dismantling ableism in the public square. Starr King Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is seeking a Director of Religious Education to lead programming for children and youth. Candidate should have experience in education, some college preferred. 15 hours per week year round. Salary $10,500 to $12,000. Start August 1st. Director of Religious Exploration - Portland, ME

First Parish of Portland, Maine, is looking for a warm, enthusiastic individual to act a Director of Religious exploration.  This individual would work under the direction of the minister to coordinate a program for our children and youth that is both engaging and thought provoking.

At First Parish, we feel that religious exploration is a life long journey and that the RE program should support our youngest members as they learn about  UUism, and develop their own spiritual identity.
